The Colorado Weigh® program is a 12-week plan consisting of weekly hour long classes. The 12-week class structure focuses on energy balance through proper nutrition and activity. The program offers three distinct, progressive phases. The phases should be taken consecutively. During the first class of Phase I, participants will have various assessments taken, including resting metabolic rate, weight, height, and waist circumference. These measurements, along with environmental and behavioral assessments, will facilitate the Registered Dietician in establishing a customized weight loss plan for each participant. Also, at the beginning of each class there will be a half hour check-in, where participants will be weighed and briefly speak with the Registered Dietician to monitor progress.
